Wang Yitao is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Soochow University. As the vice chairman of the private education research branch of The Chinese Association for Non-Government Education, and an assessment expert of The National Social Science Fund of China, he specializes in the research of non-governmental higher education, private compulsory education and private pre-school education. He has more than 80 academic papers published in Chinese. The number of his papers about private education published in CNKI ranks number two in China. He was on secondment to the private education administration office of the Development Planning Division in Chinese Ministry of Education, participating in the revision of the enforcement regulations on the Law for Promotion of Private Education.
