Fernando Ruiz-Pérez, graduate in Industrial Technologies Engineering and an Industrial Engineer from Tecnun - University of Navarra, completed his Ph.D. at the same School of Engineering on how purpose-driven organizations can be managed more sustainably. More than 60 companies across three continents were evaluated, with a total of over 10,000 individual responses from supervisors and employees. He has also researched ways to enhance employee participation in continuous improvement programs at the Mondragón Group and to improve the Tu&Co mentoring program at the University of Navarra. He was hired as an Assistant Professor by ISSA - School of Applied Management in 2022 where he teaches Lean Management, Management Systems, and Purchasing and Supply Management. His research focuses on the relationship between an integrated management system of European universities and their sustainability. This research aims to identify the drivers and barriers of sustainability implementation at Higher Education Institutions as well as the quality perception at European universities. He has conducted research stays at Hasselt University (Belgium), the TBS Toulouse Business School (France), and at CIPES, Centro de Investigação de Políticas do Ensino Superior (Portugal). In 2024, he obtained accreditation from ANECA as an Associate Professor.
